Intentional Living

Dr. Randy L. Carlson is President of Family Life Communications Incorporated.  And while he serves as leader for the entire broadcast ministry, he also provides leadership and direction as president and host of the nationally-syndicated, live, call-in radio ministry of Intentional Living.

The flagship radio program for Family Life Radio, based on the principles of the Bible and founded in God's Word, Intentional Living is an accessible outreach for Christ, where lives are touched every day.  It is simply another way that Family Life Radio can be used by God to transform, equip and encourage a nation for Christ.

In one of Dr. Randy Carlson's recent articles, he says:

"...the average expected life span for a male was somewhere near 35, or 12,775 days; a few years and many days better for a woman. That is a total of at least 3,675 weekend days…just over 10 years of “non-working” days!"

"Today, the average lifespan is more than 70 years for a male (a smidgen closer to 74, really), and almost 80 for a baby girl born today. But if you were to take 70 years and break it down by how much off time a person would have, you’d see that it turns into 25,500 days total; 7,300 weekend days, or nearly 20 years of weekends. In other words, as quality of life increases and life expectancy grows so, too, does the non-working “free time.”

"Plenty of time for you to rest, right? How is it, then, that some of the biggest grumbles people have today is that there’s not enough quality time to spend with the family, not enough time to relax or unwind? Is there a massive paradox of perhaps conspiratorial magnitude, or has society simply chosen to ignore some key Biblical principles that can help it understand what is happening? I firmly believe it is the second choice."

God calls Dr. Carlson to share his passion of living intentionally for Christ, so that whatever time he has left here on earth, he can honor God and God's children.  You see, it is through living the Intentional Life that anyone from single mothers to young graduates, to married couples to grandparents can experience the wonder of Him!

Paul says in the Bible that whether he lives or dies, he wins.  If he dies, he goes to be with Christ.  If he lives, he will be able to continue spreading the word of Jesus Christ and be a testimony for Him.  Dr. Carlson prays that as long as he lives, whether it is one day or 7,000 days, he can spread the gospel through the radio broadcast; that when he does go to heaven, Christ will say, well done good and faithful servant.

And that is the wish Randy has for you, not matter who you are...
