Are you addicted to “busyness”? Are you afraid that God will frown on you if you take time off? Being deliberate in the use of your time doesn’t mean you should never rest. Even Jesus took time to relax and get away from the demands of ministry. Understand that the time you take to recharge your internal batteries will make you a better servant in the long run. In seeking a healthy balance between work and play, not only will the quality of your work improve, so will your attitude as your service flows out of your abundance, rather than your deficits. Reading: Luke 5: 15-16, 2 Timothy 1:8-10
Action Step: If you feel like you’re stuck on a treadmill, step off. Ask God to show you the difference between work motivated by love and work that’s driven by fear.
