The Baltimore Ravens are celebrating their Superbowl win. The parade will be today. Michael Oher is a lineman for the Ravens. You may remember his story being portrayed in the movie the Blind Side. Leigh Anne Tuohy is Oher’s adoptive mom. F-L-R News interviewed her a few years ago. She talked about how maybe not everyone has the finances to bring someone into their home, but challenges us to do what we can. Like giving a coat to a homeless person. Leigh Ann and her husband Sean attended Sunday’s game. The actress who played his mom in the movie, Sandra Bullock was there as well.
Pets are good for our health."Just petting your dog or stroking your cat, increases the flow of oxytocin (the hug hormone). It increases serotonin and dopamine (the happy hormones). It decreases cortisol (the stress hormone)." Veterinarian, Doctor Marty Becker says it has a reciprocal effect on our pets too. Our petting them, makes them happy.
