Learning to Throw It Away

I am a hoarder who saves everything. I have filled every closet, under bed area and shelf available. When my husband and I moved to Arizona six years ago from the east, I saw how my “saving” had become out of control.

Packing to move across the country can point out these issues. My rationalization has always been that because I am a crafter and quilter, I have more need of things than most people.

I have learned to pass on my “treasures” to bless others. God has shown me that it is not a sin to throw things away and that there are others who have needs that I can fill. Thank you for your program to help me again focus on passing things on and not keeping everything that I think I may find a use for.

Sometimes it’s difficult to face our shortcomings straight on, but it is so freeing when you listen to God’s leading.
