A Reason to Live

In high school, I was so depressed that I became suicidal. My life and everything was pointless to me. I loaded one of my dad’s guns. I wanted to die. For some reason, I couldn’t do it. I believe it was God stopping me because He had different plans for me.

In the cafeteria of my high school, I received an invitation to attend a Bible study. I attended for about a month. One night my friend explained the Gospel to me, why Jesus died, and I realized it was what I was searching for my whole life. I cried and cried – I can’t remember when I had cried so much.

I was going through a rough time with some friends and felt no hope. I started listening to Christian music and found Family Life Radio. It was a day I’ll never forget. The band Third Day was playing, and the song that was being aired was “Tunnel.” I was reminded that God still loves me and He is there for me and will help me through the situation. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, as the song says.

I am reminded how much God loves me every time I tune in to Family Life Radio.
