A Love that Drives out Fear

I was diagnosed with stage-four colon cancer that moved to my liver. I was not given much hope at all, but my Heavenly Father’s great love for me drove out all fear. The chemotherapy was not pleasant, of course, but I continually felt the presence of God.

I went every Monday for my chemo infusions. But as my treatments went on, I became stronger, began to put on weight, and something amazing happened – in the middle of my chemo, my hair began to grow back. Now that’s my Heavenly Father! He never let cancer rob me of one thing during this walk.

I received a total of 12 infusions. Would I wish chemo on anybody? No way! But I would not have missed this walk for anything, and I never want to go back to my comfortable little rut. I pray every day to walk in the wake of His precious blood and that He will use my story to build His Kingdom.

I am so thankful for Family Life Radio. A few days after I had my port removed, I called FLR and gave them a financial gift in celebration of my restored health. In the early days I was so weak, FLR gave me so much comfort. It would play all of my waking hours. I can’t imagine going through cancer without FLR!
