Seeing the Light

I went on my own when I was 16, and it felt good. The drugs and nightlife took over. I had fallen. I was so immersed in hip hop and modern music, and I became a stripper. Then, one morning when driving home from my job at 2 a.m., I heard your station.

There was a song playing that said, “You’re gonna cry tears of joy,” and I did. I cried and laughed and felt a wave of love come over me. I came home and changed my MySpace page. I took down all my sexual pictures and photos of me smoking and being all “gangster,” and I dedicated it to God.

I am a 25-year-old girl who can see the light again. I don’t want to be a stripper any more. I don’t want to hurt my mother. I don’t want to consume drugs and alcohol. I want others to feel this too, and I want to be part of saving lost souls. I’m going to dedicate myself to God thanks to your station, and will be listening every day.
