Trusting in God

My mother, wife and our two-year-old daughter Penelope were vacationing in California when Penelope became ill and ended up with heart failure. She was flown to L.A. where she would need a heart transplant – and we would learn to trust God, thanks to you.

It was six months earlier that I’d started listening when I heard Pastor James MacDonald’s message, “I Choose to Trust.” He was talking about being filled with anxiety about things we cannot control. He said to give these things to God, replace them with His Word, and to trust Him. I was so impacted because it was describing me.

My wife and daughter spent the next year waiting for a heart to become available. Neither my wife nor I attended church much that year. Your ministry was my church; it helped me to stay strong for my family. Without Family Life Radio I cannot imagine where I would be today. This station’s ministry is like an intentional, comforting, loving friend who encourages you to depend on God in this dark world.

My daughter got a heart transplant. She is doing very well. I praise God for all the provision, grace, mercy, and love He has shown and provided us during this time. I want to say thank you to the financial supporters and those that pray for this ministry.
