Dave and Michelle Dawson are a husband/wife team who host the morning show on Family Life Radio. Dave is a graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he worked at WCSG before joining the team at Family Life Radio in 1989. Michelle is a graduate of both Michigan State and Spring Arbor University in Michigan. She has worked at several stations in Michigan and also spent time in Carson City, Nevada at station KNIS. Michelle joined Dave at Family Life Radio in January of 2005.

The Dawsons have two sons, ages 11 and 5.  Dave and Michelle are also the “parents” of an exceptionally bright 6-year old lab-mix dog named Tanner.

What's the Morning Show like behind the scenes?
Dave: Imagine 35 dinner plates spinning on sticks. Our job for 4 ½ hours is to keep them all spinning. We lose about 15 plates a day.

Michelle: This really is “Family Life” Radio! I love being able to work with my husband and also having our son join us on the air from time to time. Even our dog comes to the studio on occasion!

Since you share the airwaves with your spouse each day, tell us about one of their annoying habits at work.
Dave: Are you kidding? No husband in his right mind would ever touch that question!

Michelle: Well since Dave typically runs the controls in the studio, it's when he turns my microphone off using what he calls his “wife off” button! He says he's had many a man ask him where to get such a device.

As you sit at “America's Breakfast Table” each morning, what is your favorite thing to eat?
Dave: Well, I drink about a pot of coffee all by myself, along with the occasional delicious treat dropped off at the station by our wonderful listeners. And of course bacon goes well with anything.

Michelle: As Dave is guzzling his pot of coffee, I sometimes manage to swipe a cup of it before it's all gone. I've also been known to cook up and serve the family French toast while in the studio, but that's only on special occasions. Usually I'm munching on whatever cereal our sons are having in the morning.
