Love Your Marriage Night Sold Out Crowd

The “Love Your Marriage Night” in Warner Robins, GA, on Sept. 13 was filled with positive energy and useful information attendees were planning to use right away, Family Life Radio Event Coordinator Mike Spiva said.

The 2 1/2-hour event at Second Baptist Church was a sellout, with Intentional Living host and Family Life Radio President Dr. Randy Carlson teaching married couples how to put fun back into their marriage.

“One thing I noticed,” Spiva said, “was that people who attended seemed like people in love. People were holding hands, excited to learn ways to enhance their marriage.”

Jana Byrd, Family Life Radio’s regional promotions coordinator in Georgia, said she thought the tone was “very, very, very upbeat.”

“Most people came with their spouse,” Byrd said. “A lot of them used it as a date night. The feel was a little different than most events I’ve attended because this one drew a lot of people in their 20s and 30s.”

Dr. Carlson has scheduled five more “Love Your Marriage” events in Arizona and Michigan.

Future dates include:

Written feedback after the Warner Robins event indicated people learned to set goals and to be more intentional in their marriage, Spiva said.

“Anyone who attends can expect a fun-filled evening,” he said. “But they will learn ways to enrich and grow their marriage.”

During and after the event, Intentional Living books, DVDs, CDs and artwork/posters are on sale, Spiva said.

“It’s a good way for people to take the Intentional Living message home with them,” he said.
