Pastor Appreciation

Family Life Radio appreciates pastors and thanks them for their service.

When the apostle Paul gave Timothy instructions for church order, he said: “Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine” (I Timothy 5:17).

The Bible only mentions one who is to receives double honor, and that’s those who teach and lead the church.

Here are some practical ways to honor your pastor this month and all through the year:

  • Buy or make your pastors an appreciation card or gift and present it to them after church.
  • Invite your pastor, his wife and kids over for lunch or dinner.
  • Remember to honor associate, worship and youth pastors – all who are leaders in your church!
  • Encourage each member of your family to express their gratitude in a special way.

Dr. Randy Carlson has even more ideas on how to honor your pastor.

My pastors are amazing! One of the reasons I say that is because one of them is my dad Pastor Mike Korte. The other is Pastor Charles Buckhahn. I love both of them! One more than the other for obvious reasons! :)

I thank God for Cal Jernigan. Cal loves God Word, and God's people. Cal is a fisher of men.
