Psalm of the Day

“Let your face shine on your servant; Save me in your unfailing love.” ~ Psalm 31:16

A Year with Aslan

Today’s quote from the book The Last Battle, comes from Farsight.

“There goes one who has called on gods he does not believe in.  How will it be with him if they have really come?”

The Finger Prayer

In his book No Common Task, author George Reindrop tells how a nurse used to encourage her patients, by praying with her fingers.

The thumb points to me, so I pray for those closest to me.
The 2nd finger is for pointing, for all my teachers & the people in the hospital.
The 3rd finger is tallest, so that stands for my leaders.
The 4th finger is the weakest, so it’s for those in trouble or pain.
The pinkie is the smallest, for the least important, & that’s me.

Psalm of the Day – Psalm 24:3-4

“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.”
