Volunteer Code Of Conduct Agreement

Family Life Communications recognizes the essential role of its volunteers, and is extremely grateful for their dedication to serve, and the gift of their time, talents and treasures. Family Life Communication accepts the service of registered volunteers with the understanding that such service is at the sole discretion of the agency. As with all staff, Family Life Communications expects all volunteers to conduct themselves in a positive manner so as to promote the best interests of the ministry. Violations of any of the provisions below may lead to termination of the volunteer relationship. As a volunteer, I agree to:

Performance Standards

• Maintain conduct that is consistent with the mission of Family Life Communications, the ministry’s Statement of Faith, and personal faith in Jesus Christ
• Receive and follow instructions as given by staff, and perform assigned tasks efficiently in a manner that positively contributes to the work and mission of the ministry 
• Treat staff, volunteers, listeners and event attendees in a respectful and courteous manner
• Arrive for assignments at the time(s) scheduled
• Give proper advance notice when unable to work or report on time
• Wear appropriate and conservative clothing reflective of the value of modesty

Confidentiality

• That all information obtained during the course of volunteering will be used strictly for the purpose of performing my volunteer responsibilities. I understand that discussing, releasing, copying, distributing or otherwise using confidential data is strictly prohibited; this includes information related to listeners, employees, business strategies and financial information. 

Respect of Religious and Political Beliefs

• Refrain from engaging in contentious discussions or debates’ regarding religious beliefs, political stands etc. 
• If such conversations are initiated by a listener / attendee, respectfully guide the listener to speak with a Family Life Communications staff member
