A Familiar Friend

You bring a steady source of hope in times of change

Dear Friend,

A new year reminds us of the blessings—and challenges—of new beginnings.

It takes time to adjust to a new normal, doesn’t it? Whether you’ve experienced a change in health, a move to a new city or a complete life transformation… change doesn’t come easy. And sometimes it’s downright heartbreaking.

That’s why I’m grateful for your support that ensures those who are going through a hard time can go to a familiar place for the uplifting music and messages they need. Like Dawn, whose story on page 1 reminds us of how fragile a new relationship with Christ can be—and how important it is for the body of Christ to build up our newest brothers and sisters.

It’s true that friends like you are the reason Family Life Radio exists as a source of hope and encouragement for people to turn to in times of need. And if you’re feeling lonely or afraid, you can take heart knowing one thing never changes: the deep love of Christ. Jesus reminds us:

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.” (John 15:13-14)

What a friend we have in Jesus—who did lay down His life for us. And I’m thankful for friends like you who give and pray to help share that Good News with those who need it. Your generous partnership helps fill the airwaves with hope and makes these encouraging moments possible.

May God bless you in the year ahead—with all the challenges, changes and blessings it brings. I thank the Lord for you and your constant friendship!

Yours in Christ,

Evan Carlson, President
