God’s Angels

Molly has experienced the protection of God’s angels. Molly’s foot got caught  when she was working  on strawberries in the backyard. While she was falling, she thought she was going to get hurt pretty seriously. She didn’t want to get injured. Because of the circumstances surrounding the fall and the placement of her landing, she feels God protected her with His angels. Gravity would normally mean she would have hit some blocks with her ribs, instead she fell on the grass. She’s not an athlete, but yet, she didn’t get hurt!   She thanks God for the protection of His angels.

Once Lost, Now Found

When we misplace something and think it is lost, it leads to celebration when it is found. Family Life Radio Member Alesia is thrilled she could be a part of a friend’s lost and found story.

The celebration of finding the lost item is so much bigger when it is a spiritual loss.

Here’s the highlights of The Parable of the Lost Son found in Luke 15.

There was a man who had two sons. The younger one asked for his share of his dad’s estate. The younger son moved away and squandered his wealth. When he came to his senses, he thought about going back home.He figured he’d ask to be one of his father’s servants so he would have food. When his father saw him. He was filled with compassion for his son. The son apologized. The father told his servants to prepare a celebration feast. “For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”

I am Good Enough!

Family Life Radio Listener Sarah is comforted by the reminder of who she is in Christ that she heard in the song we play:  Who Am I – By Casting Crowns
Here’s the lyrics;
Who am I, that the lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt?
Who am I, that the bright and morning star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart?
Not because of who I am
But because of what you’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who you are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still you hear me when I’m calling
Lord, you catch me when I’m falling
And you’ve told me who I am
I am yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again?
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me?
Not because of who I am
But because of what you’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who you are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still you hear me when I’m calling
Lord, you catch me when I’m falling
And you’ve told me who I am
I am yours
Not because of who I am
But because of what you’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who you are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still you hear me when I’m calling
Lord, you catch me when I’m falling
And you’ve told me who I am
I am yours
I am yours
I am yours
Whom shall I fear, whom shall I fear?
‘Cause I am yours
I am yours

Overflow of the Heart

When you seek God, you get filled up on Him. It spills over into wanting to help others learn about Christ and sometimes that means helping them with tangible needs so your actions of service show the love of Christ.

If you could start an organization to help others, what would it be and who would you help? Mike says he and his wife write bible studies that are used in prison. Everyone can do something. Ask God what He’d have you do. You don’t have to go to a foreign country to be a disciple. Keep your eyes open and reach out to others in need.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

My Weakness, His Power

Jubilee feels worn out because she stutters. That’s why she connects with the Tenth Avenue North song Worn, we play here on Family Life Radio. She identifies with the lyrics that say “I know that He can give me rest. So I cry out with all that I left.”

All of us have some sort of thorn in our flesh. The enemy wants us to believe that we can’t be used by God because of it. The Apostle Paul is a good example of that.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Forgive Yourself

Our children are our future, that’s why one Family Life Radio member is praying for her middle school students. She worries about them because they have so many new avenues of temptation in this social media driven culture. She sees the poor choices some of them are making. She prays for them to recognize it’s not too late. They can turn around. God Loves everyone of them. All they need to do is to ask God for His forgiveness and forgive themselves. God can help reshape the future.

Let’s pray for our teachers who have the opportunity to influence the lives of students. We can pray that they will show Jesus love to their students.

As the Need Arises, It will be Provided!

I don’t remember a time when God has not been faithful. God is faithful. Take every opportunity to give a shout out to God. His timing is perfect. God makes a way.

He will supply all of our need.  Not needs with an “S” (plural). As it arises, it will be provided.

God provides gas money for the car and food. He provides for our need. Sometimes when I think I need something, God shows me I don’t need this right now. If I don’t need whatever that thing I asked for is, I must not need it, but He will provide contentment.

Fear is a Liar! //Zach Williams

Zach Williams says Fear is a Liar.  Fear is a tool that the devil uses to keep us in our past, to keep us from seeing the promises God has for our future.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.1 John 4:18

Cry out to God because He is perfect love.  Remind Satan that he is a liar.

God doesn’t want us to be fearful. Go to God in full confidence that He’s got the situation you are going through.

You are Priceless! // for King and Country

God is using the song Priceless by for King and Country in Family Life Radio member Tanya’s life. After hearing why they wrote that song Tanya knew she needed to pray for a man who would treat her like she was priceless. The man she was dating was not him, so they broke up. A little while later a guy came into her life. She believes he is the answer to that prayer.  He asked her out after seeing her at a Christian concert. They’ve been dating ever since. She thanks God for bringing this young man into her life.
