Always There
“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
—Matthew 28:20
The salvation that Jesus offered is a common one. It’s available to anyone who hears and believes in Christ as our Savior and Redeemer (Mark 16:16). When Jesus sent the disciples out into the world, He wanted all of humankind to hear the Good News of salvation. He wanted all people to know Him and believe.
When we believe, when we approach Him with focus, love and faith, He grants us not just His salvation but also His presence. Our Lord is by our side every minute of every day. He walks with us in mercy and love, guiding us and offering His strength through each trial, great and small. Nothing is too large—or too small—in our lives for His love and care.
Too often, we act as if salvation were a “one-time thing.” One and done. We may believe, but we go back to our daily lives as if little has changed. But it most certainly has! The Lord has granted us salvation and His love and constant presence. We need to remember that no matter what, we are no longer alone. He is with us always.
Today’s One Thing
If possible, talk a walk today in silence—no devices or distractions—and focus solely on the One who always walks at your side.
