Be Challenged

Living by the first and greatest commandment will challenge you beyond your wildest imagination. Do you accept the challenge?

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

– Mark 12:30 ESV

You were created to love and be loved. The purpose of this directive is to guide, protect and fulfill you. This commandment is not just a suggestion or a good idea; it is the foundation for you to experience a well-lived life. When you embrace this commandment and make it your life’s driving force, you will discover that the rewards of doing so will be beyond measure.

As you live to love God with all your heart, you will find that your priorities shift and worldly distractions decrease. Your desires and ambitions will align with His, and you will want to serve Him in every area of your life. This kind of love is not just an emotional feeling but an active choice you make every day.

You’ll experience His reward as you place God first and seek His will above all else.

Living by the first and greatest commandment requires commitment and discipline. It means saying no to things that are not aligned with God’s will and making choices that may not always be easy. As you will discover, when you place God first and seek Him, the rewards are immeasurable.

When you love God with all your heart and place Him first in your life, you will find that your relationships with others will be deeper and more meaningful. You will have peace and contentment that cannot be found anywhere else. You will find that your life has a deeper purpose and meaning.

Accept the opportunity to “Be Challenged,” and ask the Spirit to help and guide you. With the Holy Spirit’s help, do one thing this week outside your comfort zone that demonstrates you have given Him first place.
