Be Strong, God is With You

God will provide all you need to accomplish His plans.

“Be strong and do the work.”
– 1 Chronicles 28:10 NIV

When David publicly commissioned his son, King Solomon, as God’s choice to build His temple, he said to him, “My son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary. Be strong and do the work (1 Chronicles 28:9-10 NIV).”

By seeking God, King Solomon was able to accomplish what He had called him to do.

King Solomon did what his earthly father told him to do:

Acknowledge God.
Serve God wholeheartedly.
Seek God.
Be strong.
Do the work.

If he hadn’t, things would have turned out differently. Being human, there were certainly times when he became discouraged with this huge project, but his father, King David, told him not to be because God was with him (1 Chronicles 28:20).

Since God was with him, the temple of the Lord was finished. God chose and equipped Solomon to do all he needed to do.
