Bounce Back with Coach Dar

Setbacks don’t have to define you. Comebacks refine you.

Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
– Galatians 6:9 ESV

Darleen Santore, or as many know her, Coach Dar, is no stranger to challenges. She suffered a stroke at the age of 25 and has since had two more strokes. The doctor discovered a blood clot after the first stroke, and told her if it dislodged, she would die.

Knowing she could die at any moment drove Coach Dar to live fully for Christ using the knowledge and gifts God gave her. As a Board-Certified Occupational Therapist, business executive, author and speaker, God opens doors she never dreamed possible as she follows His lead to inspire change that impacts lives. She works with corporate executives and professional athletes and leads them to aim higher and achieve more.

When Coach Dar faces challenges, she focuses on her “why.” “As soon as things get difficult and you want to give up, remember why you are working toward this goal,” Coach Dar explained.

Know your “why” and focus on that when you are tempted to give up.

Expect there to be bumps in the road. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33b- NIV). Follow His lead and He will make a way or show you an adjustment that needs to be made.

Do not let challenges take you by surprise. Focus on God, His Word and your “why.” Then, get back up and use what He’s given you to serve others and bring Him glory.

Today’s One Thing
Ask God to show you your next step in an area you are struggling. Get up and take it.
