Competent and Equipped

Do you find it unique how fast technology advances or at least how it helps to create new opportunities? Better yet, do you ever look back and remember the method you used to research topics, discover recipes, read commentaries and keep contact information? Staying relevant is vital to growth while maintaining a foundation of wisdom strengthens your maturity.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

─ 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 ESV

It’s essential to stay relevant, by remaining flexible and expanding your scope of learning to increase your competency. The benefit you gain from it permits you to help others more effectively and efficiently. God’s Word is the solid, never changing foundation to build on that always provides correct training. 

Relevancy built on the solid foundation of God equips you to influence and assist others effectively.

God’s Word fused with the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your life has equipped you to increase your knowledge, understanding and faith in a perfectively designed way. Your dependency upon God is forever sure. While technology changes, Scripture does not.   

When you find yourself becoming inflexible, evaluate your actions and remember that Scripture does not change, and the Holy Spirit will guide you as you consider advancements in methods to help you be more effective in all you do. You can use and interpret technological advancement as tools and methods for furthering the kingdom.

Today’s One Thing

Pray and ask the Lord for optimum change or flexibility in your routines ensure growth. Ask Him to reveal through His Word how you can be more competent and equipped.
