Conversations with God

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’”

─ Matthew 19:14

In Matthew 19, Jesus encouraged us to have childlike faith and used the example of how children ran to Him as an example of how we, as God’s children, should come to Him.

The receptiveness of little children was a great contrast to the stubbornness of the religious leaders of the day, who let their education and sophistication stand in the way of the simple faith needed to believe in Jesus. Small children seldom worry about what others think of their questions and simple conversations. Instead, they come with an open heart to give who they are to God, and to receive what God has for them, even if that is to just crawl up into his lap and experience His presence.

God receives you just as you are. He accepts your prayers in the same way. God is not concerned with formalities and presentations. Instead He wants you to come to Him just like you would approach someone you know loves you and cares about you.

Let your conversation with God flow freely from your heart today.
