Created for Great Things

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Daniel and his older brother Spencer may be related, but they could not be any more different. In fact, most people would never guess they were more than friends.

Thankfully, the Lord had told their mother not to expect the two to be alike at all. It prepared them as parents for the gap between the two boys. “It’s like God took everything artistic in the two of us and placed it in Daniel, and He took everything technical from us and put it in Spencer.

As a child, Daniel was all over the place. They never really knew what to expect from his unlimited imagination. Spencer followed closely to one goal and seldom changed his mind about decisions. He worked hard to achieve it and would not get deterred. They both grew up knowing they were each created for great things and were unique in their own ways!

As adults, both young men found success and attributed that success to the way their parents encouraged them to remember that every ability they had, came from God.
