Cultivate Love

Valentine’s Day can be a difficult time for those who are feeling lonely. It can be hard to see all the happy couples celebrating and not feel a little left out. But it’s important to remember that you are not alone, and that God is always with you.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
– 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV

Let the verse for today remind you that love is the most important thing in your life. God desires us to focus on cultivating love in all its forms – not just romantic love, but also the love of God, the love for family and friends.

In God’s family, you are never truly alone.

“God places lonely people in families” (Psalm 68:6 GW). Even if you don’t have a romantic partner, you are a part of a larger family – whether it’s your biological family, your church family, or the family of Christ followers all over the globe.

So on this Valentine’s Day, remember that you are not alone. God is with you and He loves you. As part of His family, you have Him and all your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Today’s One Thing
Focus on cultivating love with God and others, especially this week. Remind yourself that you are part of a larger family of believers. And know that no matter what, God is always with you, holding you close to His heart.
