Develop Rich, Beautiful Faith

John G. Lake, co-founder of the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa said, “The reason people do not have rich, beautiful faith is because their spirit is denied the privilege of communion and fellowship with the Father. You don’t read your Bible, you don’t pour over it; you don’t live it; you don’t spend time in fellowship with the Father. Consequently, your spirit is depleted and weakened.”

Faith comes from listening to this Good News—the Good News about Christ.
─ Romans 10:17 TLB

Faith comes out of the truth found in Scripture that reveals Christ. The Good News is that Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection – God’s ultimate plan to open the door to relationship with Him – was a grand success.

Pursue God and His Word to develop a rich, beautiful faith!

Some never receive the message for several reasons. Some may have their understanding darkened, be bound by religious traditions or just be dull of hearing because their spirit isn’t open to hear.

When the Word of God is preached, it’s an invitation to grow in your faith. The Greek word for word in this context is rhema meaning revealed. It refers to a specific word or statement from Scripture that is activated in the hearer’s mind and spirit. The word is ignited in the heart of the receiver and sparks a fire that burns with faith to believe.
