Extend Love and Care
Compassion is needed now more than ever. Our world often seems filled with brokenness and pain, and your heart has the power to make a difference. God calls you to extend love and care to those in need, expressing the very essence of His character. God has purposefully designed you to extend your arms for Him and show His compassion for others.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
– Galatians 6:9 ESV
Compassion is a deliberate choice to take action. When you allow the love of Christ to flow through you, you become a vessel of hope, healing and restoration. Your acts of kindness and compassion can transform lives and bring optimism to those needing encouragement.
The weight of the world can be heavy and burdensome. You’ve likely encountered setbacks, faced challenges or felt discouraged by the enormity of the need in the world and even in your neighborhood. Hold on to hope in those moments and remember that God is with you all the time. He sees your efforts and promises that your labor of love is not in vain.
Your acts of love reveal His love to the world and bring glory to His name.
When you choose to live a life of compassion, you reflect the heart of the Heavenly Father. He desires you to intentionally look for opportunities to extend care and support to those in need. While your compassion can include giving money to an individual or organization, it could also be as simple as lending a listening ear, offering a helping hand or sharing a word of encouragement.
Your acts of love bring glory to God’s name. Keep loving and moving forward. The seeds of kindness you sow today will bear fruit in due season.
Today’s One Thing
Consider adding the following to your prayer today: Heavenly Father, fill my heart with Your compassion and love. Please open my eyes to the needs around me and give me the strength to persevere in doing good. Please guide me to opportunities where I can extend care and support to those in need. May my acts of compassion reflect Your heart to a broken world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
