Family United

It’s one of the oldest tactics known to man – divide and conquer. It’s been used on the battlefield, in politics, in business and even in our own homes with family members.

I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.
─ Ezekiel 11:19 ESV

Satan uses division to his advantage. He understands that the best way to weaken believers is to get them to exhaust their souls by fighting with one another. When family members are divided, only the evil one wins.

God desires to give you a heart like His.

Our verse today refers to a heart united. God desires to create a single purpose within you to live to please Him. When you come to Him in full surrender, He will take hardened, stubborn thoughts and intentions, and give you a heart like His, tender and compassionate. This new heart brings new motives, new guidelines and new purposes – one of which is loving others.

This day you have been given is far too valuable to be wasted on arguments. Pray that God will unite your family and give you a heart to live in unity with one another.
