Finding Your Purpose

You are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the universe. God created you with a purpose, a plan that is uniquely tailored to you. Your attempts to discover this plan may feel daunting but know that God has promised to guide you every step of the way.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

– Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

Perhaps the journey to your purpose has been filled with twists, turns, hills and valleys, but it is worth the chase. God has placed unique gifts, talents and passions within you that are waiting to be discovered and used for His glory. They are there for you to take ownership of them. You can find them by seeking God’s guidance through prayer and studying His Word.

In Psalm 119:105, the psalmist writes, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (ESV). God’s Word can guide you in realizing your purpose. Spend time reading the Bible, meditating on its truths and allowing God to speak to you through its pages.

Spending quiet time with the Lord and meditating on His Word will help you become sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s direction and guidance.

Finding your purpose is not just about discovering what you are meant to do but also about who you are meant to be. God has a unique plan for your character development and growth. He has designed you, and as you trust in Him and seek His plan, He will transform you into the person He created you to be.

Desire to chase after God and His plan for your life with holy audacity, knowing He has great things in store for you.
