Get Real with God with Andrew Ripp
As you get closer to God, you get closer to who He created you to be.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
– James 4:8 ESV
Andrew Ripp, a musician who has journeyed through authenticity and intentionality said, “The more I’ve given myself space to realize who I am, the more intentional I’ve become.” His words offer an invitation to dive deeper into your exploration of who God created you to be.
The fast-paced world often drowns out the need for quiet times with God, but the pauses in the busyness of life, are where your God-given purpose is born. Andrew said, “If you’re authentic, that means you’ve stepped into the call on your life.”
In Lamentations 3:28-29, it says, “Let him sit alone in silence, for the Lord has laid it on him. Let him bury his face in the dust— there may yet be hope” (ESV). Power and hope are found in silent reflection.
You are God’s masterpiece, a unique blend of experiences, dreams, trials, triumphs and divine conversations.
When your identity is anchored in God, you pave the way for authenticity to blossom, influencing your intentions and actions. As you engage in this time of quiet with the Lord, your authenticity will radiate, and your intentionality will flourish, infusing a deep sense of purpose and fulfilment into your life.
As you practice being in God’s presence, you will find an enveloping sense of peace as He guides you towards a deeper understanding of who you are in Christ and how you can live your life for Him.
Today’s One Thing
Take time to be with God today, read His Word and sit quietly for at least five minutes. Choose a time that works best for you, whether it is the early morning or the calm of the evening. Find a comfortable place to sit, close your eyes and welcome God as you praise Him for His almighty attributes or sit in stillness.
