Give God Full Access

Jesus said to [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

─ John 11:25-26 ESV

Give God Full Access

Are you holding back a little piece of yourself from God? Sometimes we give God most of ourselves but refuse to relinquish a portion of our heart we believe we still need to control. Life comes through your relationship with Jesus. Living that life to the fullest requires complete surrender of your heart.

In our verse today, Jesus addressed Martha’s concerns. Her brother, Lazarus had died and laid buried in the grave. And Jesus was just about to raise him up to life again when he told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me, shall live and never die.”

Living a life in Christ, in His resurrection power, is a present-day reality, not a someday hope. That life begins now as you surrender to Jesus. It’s not just believing in Jesus, attending church and doing certain things Christians do. It’s lovingly allowing God full access to your life and heart, fully opening yourself up to Him.

Today’s One Thing

Choose today to give God full access to your heart. Open up the areas that may have been closed off to Him before. Pray and ask Him to have his way in every area of your life.
