God Fills Chasms
Loss can feel like an enormous chasm in your heart, a space nothing can fill. When you feel empty, you need assurance that God sees you, knows your heart, and wants to hold you close. This love is unshakable, unbreakable, and never out of reach.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 8:38-39 ESV
God’s love is not a fleeting emotion or a fragile promise. It is the foundation of your faith, the security for your life when things feel unstable. The Apostle Paul knew what it meant to face trials—persecution, hardship, and uncertainty—but he held onto the truth that nothing in all creation could separate him from the love of God in Christ Jesus. That same love holds you today.
God loved you before you took your first breath. He loved you before you ever called on His name. And He still loves you on the days when you struggle to trust, when you fall short, and when your faith feels weak. His love isn’t dependent on your performance. His love is rooted in His perfect nature.
God’s love never shifts, never wavers, and never leaves.
Friendships fade. Hardships come. Life changes. But God’s love remains constant. When uncertainty surrounds you, let His love be your confidence. Whenever doubt creeps in, remind yourself that His love depends not on your strength but on His unchanging character. When loss and grief try to steal your peace, rest in the truth that His love is deeper than your sorrow and more substantial than your pain.
Okay, right now, take a breath and remind yourself of this unshakable truth: You are secure in God’s love. Whether today is full of joy or struggle, nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Abide in it, trust in it, and let it be the strength that holds you steady.
Today’s One Thing
Say aloud and let this resonate, “I am fully known and deeply loved by God. Nothing can separate me from His love.”
