God’s Love and Spring’s Warmth

As you feel the warmth of spring weather, remember the countless examples of God’s love woven throughout the Bible’s pages. Just as the buds on the trees burst forth with new life and the flowers open their petals to the sun, you too can open your heart to the infinite beauty and grace of God’s love.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
— Ephesians 2:8 NIV

Take a moment to look around and see the evidence of God’s love everywhere. From the beauty of flowers blooming, the wonderous sounds of birds singing, the splendor of a sunset, to the kindness of a stranger, God’s love is constantly present and working in your life. The most outstanding example of God’s love is His Son Jesus Christ, who exemplified love, compassion and sacrifice.

God’s love isn’t something that happened 2,000 years ago. It continues to influence your life today. The grace, presence and evidence of His divine work in your life gently remind you daily of how much He loves you.

Evidence of God’s love surrounds you daily, and He wants you to know you are loved.

As you understand God’s love more, you are called to share that love with others. Jesus asked you to love your neighbors as yourself, to show kindness to those who are hurting and to extend grace to those who have wronged you. When you do these things, you reflect God’s love in this challenging world filled with people who need His love.

Remember, God loves you despite your flaws and mistakes. He proved it by sending His Son to die for you. As you grow in your understanding of His magnificent love, let your abundance of love flow to those around you, helping to make the world a warmer and more hopeful place.
