God’s One Desire

It’s been God’s desire from the very beginning that His children would know and follow Him.

“Take these words of mine to heart and keep them in mind. Write them down … Teach them to your children, and talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up.”
─ Deuteronomy 11:18-19 GW

God gave you the Bible, the written record of His actions throughout history, so that you could come to know Him. He desires for you to realize His way of doing things, His nature and His character.

Hide His Word in your heart so you may truly know Him.

Studying Scripture helps you hide His word in your heart so that you know what His intentions are toward you and what His expectations are of you (Psalm 119:11). God’s Word gives you a view of the miracles He performed, the lessons He wants you to learn and instructions for things to come.

Do you and God share the same desire – to know Him in a deeper way?
