God’s Relentless Pursuit of You

There are times in life when you might feel distant from God, as though you’ve wandered too far from His reach. But the truth is, God’s love is relentless. He is always pursuing you, even when you feel lost or unworthy.

“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?”
– Luke 15:4 NLT

Franni Rae Cash from We the Kingdom experienced this firsthand when she walked through a dark time in her life. It was in that season that a song—“Dancing on the Waves”—became a lifeline, reminding her of God’s never-ending love.

Reflecting on her journey, Franni shared, “It’s really the song for me that actually did bring me back to the Lord after walking away from a really dark time in my life.”

God’s relentless love is always reaching out to you.

Jesus’ story of the lost sheep portrays a powerful image of God’s pursuit—He never gives up on you. He willingly leaves the ninety-nine to chase after you, no matter how far you’ve wandered. You are that important to Him.

Like the shepherd in the parable, God is pursuing you with a love that doesn’t quit. Even when you feel unworthy, God sees you as worth the pursuit.

No matter how far you feel from God, He is always reaching out to bring you back into His embrace. Just like the lyrics of “Dancing on the Waves” say, “I’m reaching out, I’ll chase you down, I dare you to believe how much I love you now,” God is constantly pursuing your heart with grace and love.

Today’s One Thing
Pray: “Lord, thank You for loving me even when I feel lost. Help me to remember that You are always pursuing me with Your grace, no matter how far I’ve strayed. Draw me back into Your arms and remind me of Your constant love and care. Let Your presence fill my heart and renew my faith in Your goodness. Thank You for never giving up on me. Amen.”
