Grace to Share His Truth
I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.
─ Ephesians 3:7 NIV
Who have you shared Christ with lately?
In our verse today, Paul said “I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power” (Ephesians 3:7 NIV). When Paul became a follower of Christ, God gave him the ability to share the gospel effectively. It may not have been easy for him, especially at first. He probably had the same thoughts running through his head as you do. What will people think? What will they say? What if I don’t communicate it properly? What if I don’t remember the words or scriptures?
God will give you opportunities to tell others about Christ. And with those opportunities, He will provide you with the ability, courage and power you need. Take your eyes off yourself and see the compassion God the Father has for others to know Him and to experience His love. As you focus on the other person, and his or her needs, God’s love and grace will be evident. Your words will be natural, loving and heartfelt.
Today’s One Thing
Ask God to give you the opportunity to share Christ with someone today. It doesn’t have to be a non-believer. Be open to sharing His truth with a fellow believer that needs encouragement.
