Have that Conversation with God

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Have that Conversation with God

Talking to God should be similar to your conversations with a close friend, but with God it’s easier. Think about those awkward moments when you want to share something that might hurt a friend’s feelings, causing them to be disappointed in you, or even jeopardizing your relationship. That scenario doesn’t happen with God.

Our verse today is clear. God always hears you when you pray. He tunes His ear to even the faintest whisper and knows your thoughts even if you don’t voice them. He knows you better than any friend could; and better than you even know yourself. And when you feel that soft little nudge in your heart, you know He is calling you to sit down with Him and talk.

Whatever you have to share with Him, He’s listening and ready to move mountains on your behalf when you seek Him. Your faith in His ability, not your own ability, brings about the answers He has for your life.

You can trust that every conversation with God brings only good things into your life.

Today’s One Thing

Have that conversation with God today that you’ve wanted to have but weren’t sure you were ready for. You can expect His response to be filled with lovingkindness and gentleness because you are His child.
