Honorable Beauty

An innate element resides within you to enjoy nature’s beauty. Sceneries like the morning sun as it peeks over the horizon, mountainous terrain that contains beautiful waterfalls and tall pine trees or the unique galaxy containing glistening stars and planets are all part of God’s creation. He has given you natural scenery that is beautiful to your eyes and inspires you to be in awe of what He has created.

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
─ Colossians 1:16-17 ESV

God created beautiful scenery for multiple reasons. One reason includes an extraordinary interruption and reminder of His power, grace and design.

The Lord desires for you to trust in Him and make your requests known to Him. Through the Apostle Paul’s writings, the Lord instructed the congregation of Philippi not to be anxious but to be in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). As you verbally make your requests known, consider the magnificent scenery He has made for you to see and experience. He has placed awe-inspiring scenery around you to remind you that He is more significant than any problem or concern you may be experiencing.

The Creator placed beauty all around the universe to remind you of His power, grace, beauty and love for you.

Think upon the creative power God holds, especially when life’s disruptions occur. His creation is a reminder of His architectural authority to make things beautiful and resolve anxious things for your good and amazement.

It is fantastic to see beautiful mountains and horizons, and it is also remarkable to experience the Lord’s workmanship in your life as He resolves concerns and makes things beautiful.

Today’s One Thing

How has God caused you to stand back and marvel at His miraculous power? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these things to you, and then spend time praising the Lord as you gaze upon a beautiful scenery.
