Let Jesus Light the Darkness

Jesus is often referred to as the light of the world, which means that He is the source of life and hope for all people. He is the only source of spiritual guidance in this world and the only way to experience true freedom, joy, and peace.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
– John 8:12 ESV

Jesus wants to be a part of your living testimony. He desires to overcome the darkness of this world with His light.

When overwhelming thoughts begin to create worry, it can disrupt your mental well-being. If you allow this to occur, it will consume your time that could have been spent more productively working toward your daily goals and objectives God has given you.

The key is Jesus – not you – in eliminating the darkness and worry. Jesus paid the price to make darkness and worry disappear.

Let Jesus be your moment-by-moment light during difficult times.

Make it a daily habit to ask Jesus to give you direction and security from the enemy’s attempt to cast darkness and worry upon you. Invite Him to be your light and banish any darkness, unhealthy thoughts and sinful inclination from you as you go about your day in pursuit of pleasing Christ.

Challenges come and go, but Jesus is always with you, waiting for you to seek and trust Him.

Today’s One Thing
Praise the Lord, and ask Him to shine in your life today, making all darkness disappear. Invite Him to be your light and banish any darkness, unhealthy thoughts and sinful inclination from you as you go about your day in pursuit of pleasing Christ.
