Let Jesus Paint Your Beautiful Picture
As you navigate the paint palette of life, it can be easy to focus on the moments of joy and excitement, as well as the challenges and difficulties that come our way. But as a Christ follower, you must remember that He is the Author, Creator and Painter of your life. He wants to guide you through the good times and the bad. He is the one who ultimately brings beauty and meaning to your experiences.
If you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
– Romans 8:13-14 NIV
Let the words from Romans 8:13-14 remind you of the choice you have each day. The moment you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you become a child of God and a member of His family. Just as a child trusts and relies on their parents to guide and protect them, you must trust and rely on God to guide and protect you through your journey in this life.
You can always trust that God is working in and through you to bring about His perfect plan and purpose for your life.
Life’s paint palette can include moments of great joy and excitement, as well as moments of great challenge and difficulty. But no matter what you’re facing, you can always trust that God is working in and through you to bring about His perfect plan and purpose for your life. You may not always understand why certain things happen, but you can remain confident that God continually works all things for your good.
So when life presents its beautiful moments of excitement and its hues of challenges, remember to shout “Jesus!” He is the one who brings enjoyment, confidence, assurance and calmness to your journey. And as you trust and rely on Him, you can be sure that He is painting a beautiful picture of your life – one that will ultimately bring glory to His name.
Today’s One Thing
Start a new habit today. Take a sticky note and write the words, “Let Jesus paint!” Place that sticky note on the mirror in your bathroom. Each morning as you start your day, let the sticky note remind you to surrender your plans to Jesus. Give Him the paint brush, and decide each day to let Him choose what your day will look like.
