Live in Promises of God
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
─ Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
Live in Promises of God
So, what exactly does it mean to be saved? The word salvation is translated from the Greek word referring to deliverance from every kind of evil, in this present time and through eternity. It includes everything we need to live free from the curse of sin. It’s the opportunity to live in the fullness of the blessing of God.
Today’s verse tells us we receive salvation by confessing Jesus as the Lord of our life and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead. We speak with the mouth and believe in the heart. Just as everything God does, He does by faith. He created the world by believing and confessing. He spoke and believed. He said, “Let there be light, and light existed” (Genesis 1).
Every element of living your life in Christ takes faith. Within the word salvation, everything you need to live the abundant life He has for you is already provided. You just have to receive it. One way to receive the promises of God in your life is to discover them in His Word. Believing what He said and expect it to become a reality in your life.
