We exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

Love and Lead Like the Father
As we approach Father’s Day, it’s a great time to remember, whether you’re a father or mother, that we’re called to love and lead our children in the same manner God, the Father loves and leads us.
In the verses today, the Apostle Paul points out ways fathers (and mothers) can love and lead their children:
- through encouragement
- with comfort
- by example, living a life that glorifies God.
When you aspire to do something that stretches your faith, the Father encourages you. In times of pain and hurt, God brings comfort and healing. And He sets an example, in His Word for us to follow so that we know how to live our lives in a way that honors Him.
Today’s One Thing
This Father’s Day, take some time to speak into the lives of your children, and talk about stories from your life that demonstrates honor and glory to the Father.
