Love Yourself and Others

Understanding the awesomeness of who you are in Christ empowers you and creates an incredible foundation made from love for you to share with others. Focusing on how much you are loved by the Creator; Christ and the Holy Spirit affirms your inner joy with the assurance that you are loved and others need the same joy. The brilliance of the second greatest commandment is to share God’s abundance of love.

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
─ Galatians 5:14 ESV

• You were set free from your sinful past and made new in the likeness of Christ when you accepted Christ as your Savior.
• Your freedom allows you to discover who Christ says you are through your new identity. You are a Child of God.
• You are no longer a slave to the world but an heir of God’s and co-heir with Christ. You are blessed and connected to the True Source.
• You are an ambassador for Christ. You are chosen and loved.

Our verse today says you fulfill the greatest commandment when you love others like you love yourself. When you are treated with kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, joy and love, you feel valued and appreciated. You are to treat others like you would want to be treated (Matthew 7:12). The abundance that God has given you needs to be shared.

You are Christ’s ambassador affirmed to communicate His love to others.

During your prayer time, ask the Lord to help you see how loved you are by Him. Once this foundational love is understood and seen, you will want to share His love with others. Intentionally ask the Holy Spirit to help you be sensitive to the needs of others within your circle of influence and those you encounter sporadically.

You are loved by the One true Creator and His Son, Jesus Christ who has given you the Holy Spirit for guidance, protection and correction. Let your light shine in this dark world so others can see Christ’s love.

You can do this. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of the methods He has given you to express His love through you to others.
