No Transaction Required

Do you remember a time when someone near to you kept their promise, and you appreciated their integrity? Flip that scenario, do you remember when someone didn’t keep their promise, and you were hurt or heartbroken? The ladder of these two memories can cause you to become callus and reluctant to trust openly.

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”

─ Isaiah 55:1 ESV

The human heart yearns for trusting relationships, and God is the only one to satisfy your inner being. Your inner-being is made for a personal relationship with the Father. Your soul is designed to crave Him. He is the only one who invites you to His banquet table where you will dine with Him regardless of your past, if you will only trust in Him.

God is not a transactional god. He doesn’t require you to buy your way into heaven or buy your freedom from sin. There are not a million tasks for you to accomplish so He can approve you.

The Father can be trusted, and He wants a personal relationship with you.

God desires a perfect relationship with you. His Son Jesus Christ made a way for your sins to be forgiven, forging the opportunity for a perfect relationship. The essential thing you must do is accept Jesus into your life as your Savior. He intercedes for you and welcomes you into God’s family when you do this. You become His guest to dine at the His table because He desires the best for you.

The Lord is a promise keeper and has the highest integrity. He loves you, and you can trust Him. When you accept Jesus, your sins are forgiven, and you will have freedom and peace given to you by a loving, gentle and protective God. Satisfy your inner-being and relish in a relationship with the Lord.
