Praise God and Increase Your Faith

We all have seasons in our lives when we struggle to believe the promises of God. The enemy of our soul wants to beat you over the head with guilt and condemnation, but God doesn’t want you to feel guilty when you stand at a crossroad in your faith.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courtyards with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting And His faithfulness is to all generations.
─ Psalm 100:4-5 NASB

When you stand at a crossroad, put your praise on and recall the great things God has done in your past. Open your mouth and recount them to Him. As you do this, your faith will grow, and you will continue standing firm.

Most of the Psalms are words of praise the Psalmist used to encourage himself during the difficulties he encountered in this life. In the verses today, the Psalmist gives us instruction and encouragement. We are to come before God with our hearts and mouths filled with thanksgiving. We are to enter his presence with praise. How? We express our thanks, sharing with our Heavenly Father the reasons we appreciate Him. We are to bless Him because he is good, filled with unending mercy and is always faithful to us, never skipping a generation.

PQ: Come before God with our hearts and mouths filled with thanksgiving.

Praise to God increases your faith. As you praise Him, you stir your heart by remembering the things He has done in you, through you and for you. During praise to God your soul ignites with faith and it builds in your soul like adding fuel to a fire.
