Radical Love
Nobody loves like God does. That should definitely be your desire and goal. Yet, no matter how hard you try to emulate His love for others, your humanity gets in the way.
We love because he first loved us. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
─ 1 John 4:19, 21 ESV
God’s radical love opened the door for Christ to come to earth for every single person. He died for all to have the opportunity to receive forgiveness, salvation and restoration of relationship with the Father.
You demonstrate God’s radical love when you boldly share His love with others.
Sharing Christ with others may seem hard to do. You may not consider yourself the “witnessing” type, but your life can be a picture of God’s love that others can see. When you love your neighbor, respond with kindness when someone does you wrong or show compassion for someone hurting, you point them to God.
You demonstrate God’s radical love when you boldly share His love with others. This Christmas, be observant to notice those who need God’s radical love.
Today’s One Thing
Think about the people around you who need God’s love. Pray for each one today to know Him personally and experience His radical love, then act on the opportunities God gives you to show them His love.
