Reaching into Eternity

One of the most valuable things you can do for yourself and your loved ones is to make the most of the time you have together. Relationships with God and your loved ones who choose Him are the only things you can take with you into eternity.

Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
– 1 Thessalonians 4:17 ESV

In today’s busy world, it can be easy to get caught up doing what may seem to be most important – providing for your family. While being successful at work is important, remembering to put your relationships at the top of your priority list is vital.

Invest in relationships today to take with you into eternity.

This means cherishing each moment and making sure to prioritize spending time together.
• Take time to be present in the moment with those you love.
• Enjoy each other’s company.
• Create lasting memories.
• Build strong, loving relationships.
• Put away your phones and devices (literally turn them off and place them in a drawer) so you can have focused, quality time together.

Whether it’s through shared activities, conversation or simply enjoying each other’s company, invest in relationships today to take with you into eternity. It will be time well spent and will make all the difference in your relationships, reaching into eternity.

Look back over the last week and evaluate your exchanges made with those you love. Would they say the times you interacted with one another was a reflection of God’s love and how you really feel about each other? Ask God to help you invest in eternity in the lives of those you love each day.
