Speak Up for Christ
When you share your faith, you witness to the truth of God’s unconditional love and His desire for everyone to spend eternity with Him. You open the door to salvation, which is so much more than just an escape from eternal judgement.
Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
─ Jude 22-23 NIV
As you speak up for Christ, it isn’t always in a vocal format. Often those without the hope of eternal life are best reached through your actions and reactions. In our verse today, your mercy opens the door for those who doubt the gospel. In His love you can demonstrate his love and acceptance, even though you don’t condone the sin in their lives.
Witnessing can be a matter of spiritual life or death.
As the Lord leads you across the path of those awaiting salvation, it’s vital to know that your exchange with them could be a matter of eternal life or death. It’s important to represent Christ well.
Often those who appear successful in the world’s eyes are lost and in need of salvation. Let your life speak for Christ in all things so that you may be an influence to bring them to the revelation knowledge of Him!
Today’s One Thing
Put a reminder in your phone each day this week to “Speak up for Christ,” that will remind you to be open and aware of the leading of the Holy Spirit. When you receive the alert, pray at that moment and ask God to lead you to share your faith with those He brings across your path.
