Unveiled – Freed to Live for Christ

Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

─ 2 Corinthians 3:15-17 NIV

Unveiled – Freed to Live for Christ

God instructed Moses to come to the top of Mt. Sinai. After 40 days in God’s presence, Moses emerged with Ten Commandments from God for His chosen people. His face glowed so brightly from his time with God that he had to put a veil across his face so that the people wouldn’t be afraid to look upon him.

In our verse today, the Apostle Paul notes those who trust their salvation to keeping rules and traditions were soon caught up in the laws of dos and don’ts. But God provides freedom in salvation without condemnation (Romans 8:1).

We always want to please Christ because we love God and are thankful for what He’s done in us, for us and through us, but we are free from the weight of guilt and shame that comes when we fail to do so.

You are loved unconditionally, accepted, forgiven and free to live for Him. Where the Spirit of the Lord resides, there is freedom.

Today’s One Thing

Do you feel guilty for failing God? Have you asked for forgiveness? He has freed you from the power of sin, guilt and shame. Accept His forgiveness and walk in freedom today.
