Visit with Jesus

Have you ever found yourself sitting quietly, wishing Jesus would just walk through the door, sit beside you, and have a quiet conversation? Life can be so overwhelming at times that we long for His physical presence—just to see Him, hear His voice, and feel His reassuring touch.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

– James 4:8 NKJV

You’ve probably whispered a similar prayer, “Jesus, I just need to see You, to feel You close.” Such a deep desire to connect with Him comes out of our love for Him and the comfort that His presence brings. It’s a natural desire, especially when we feel weighed down by the struggles this fallen world brings.

Jesus is right here, right now, ready to meet you in this very moment!

But while we may not see Jesus with our physical eyes, He is nearer to us than we often realize. Our verse today assures us that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. Jesus is right here, right now, ready to meet us in the middle of our longing. His presence is not limited by our physical senses but is available through our faith and the promises of His Word.

So how do we experience this nearness when our hearts long for a tangible encounter? We can begin to sense His presence by intentionally seeking Him. In moments of prayer, when we worship, or when we simply sit quietly with our thoughts focused on Him. We may not always feel it in an emotional way, but His peace, His comfort, and His guidance are real and available to us.

Today’s One Thing

Make an intentional effort to draw near to Jesus right now. Find a quiet place where you can be alone with Him, free from distractions. As you pray or read your Bible, ask Him to reveal His presence to you in a new and personal way. Trust that as you seek Him, He will draw close to you.
