Walk in the Spirit

In the Bible, a walk is often a metaphor for daily living. Your life is a journey and you are walking it out. If you’re a Christ follower, then you’ve been given a comforter, a helper – a travel companion to go with you and support you along the way.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
─ Galatians 5:25 NKJV

Jesus said, “Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you” (John 14:16 CEV). How encouraging to know that you never have to go anywhere alone. He is always right by your side.

Choose to live each day in step with His Spirit.

A walk implies a constant forward motion. You’re going forward, and if you’re allowing the Spirit to lead you, then you will always be at the right place at the right time every time.

God has a plan and a purpose for you. Choose to live each day in step with His Spirit –

  • Surrender to His control
  • Listen for His voice
  • Follow His lead
  • And allow Him to influence your decisions.

Today’s One Thing
Think about the Holy Spirit as your travel companion, willing to lead and guide you as you lean into Him. How does that empower you to live each day for Christ?
