Your Unbreakable Anchor of Hope
Do you appreciate a good thunderstorm? Many of us like to sit back and watch a gentle rain and a few dark, hanging clouds every once in a while. A storm is okay as long it’s just passing through and doesn’t do any damage along the way.
This certain hope of being saved is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, connecting us with God himself behind the sacred curtains of heaven.
─ Hebrews 6:19 TLB
We may enjoy a few flashes of lightning and rolls of thunder, but we prefer they don’t linger very long.
Jesus with you, gives you peace through the storms!
Jesus said in this world, we will have trouble, but to be encouraged because He overcame the world. His surrender to God’s will – His death, burial and resurrection – assures you can have the victory no matter what circumstances of life you face today.
Sometimes the storms of life wreak havoc in your life, but your relationship with God and where you will spend eternity cannot be taken from you.
Jesus is with you through every storm. He is your hope, an unbreakable anchor holding your soul to God Himself. And whether He speaks to the storm and commands it to become still in your life, or He holds your hand while the storm rages, He will never leave you or forsake you.
Today’s One Thing
Think about the storms you’ve been through and how God brought you through each one. Make a list of three or more of them. Now, give God a big praise today for bringing you through them. And with each one, encourage yourself that He will be faithful once again to bring you through the one you’re facing today.
